Gålö is an easily accessible destination in the central archipelago. Most visitors come here to sunbathe and swim from the warm rocky shores or visit at the kilometre long sandy beach.

At Skälåker, there is a large tourist centre with a hostel, camping, an archipelago restaurant, adventure golf, kayak rentals and pony riding. At Stegsholm farm you will find a farm café and at Gålö dairy farm you can buy cheese from local goats.

Gålö also has several hiking trails that take you through beautiful nature with pastures, beach meadows, forests, and bays. There is also a historic trail with lots of information about the history of the area.

Regarding the nature reserve

Gålö is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation.

You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
