Fjärdlång

Vedviken

Fjärdlång offers untouched archipelago nature and has an abundant animal life. The island has a hostel, a kiosk and row boats for rent at the harbour. You can swim from the rocky shores or at the small beach at the harbour.

There are many nice hiking trails of different lengths and difficulties. One of the trails leads up to the viewpoint at Tysta Klint, 36 meter above sea level with a lovely view of the ocean. The financier and art lover Ernest Thiel bought Fjärdlång with its accompanying islands at the start of the 20th century. His glamorous house is now a hostel that also has cabins that you can rent.

Myggskären

The nature reserve includes Myggskären which has two smaller sleeping cabins that are not possible to pre-book. You are welcome to stay in a cabin for two nights if there is room.

Regarding the nature reserve

Fjärdlång is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation.

You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
