Norrtälje is the main town of Roslagen. It is a genuine small town with old wooden houses and cobblestone streets. You can explore the island’s many boutiques, restaurants, cafés, events, and museums.

During the summer months the town comes alive as a junction for visitors traveling to the northern part of the archipelago. At the creek that runs through Norrtälje there is an art show every summer. Also, make sure to visit the industrial museum Pythagoras or the art gallery Norrtälje Konsthall. From Norrtälje you can take a bus, or an archipelago boat out to the islands in the northern archipelago.
