Vaxholms Fästnings Museum/ Vaxholm Fortress Museum

Welcome to the largest museum in the archipelago. Here you can learn about the defense of Sweden’s capital Stockholm, the archipelago and hear about the fascinating history of Vaxholm Fortress during a turbulent era of 500 years.  

The museum is not open to the public, but we welcome booked groups all year.
