Ljusterö
Ljusterö is one of the largest islands in the Stockholm archipelago. You can get here easily by road ferry from the mainland. Only an hour away from Stockholm you can enjoy nature experiences, cliff beaches, restaurants and cafés.
At Ljusterö you can rent a bike, go hiking, swim from cliffs or visit one of the farm shops to buy local specialities. If you come by private boat, you can anchor in one of the guest harbours. There is also a hotel, rental cabins and bed and breakfasts on the island.
Many artists have been inspired by the beautiful surroundings on Ljusterö, and still today there are art shows and craftsmen to visit here. In the village of Laggarsvik you can enjoy a genuine archipelago environment, and from the viewpoint at Ljusterö head you have a mile wide panoramic view of the archipelago. The nature reserve of Östra Lagnö is also a lovely place to explore.
