Björnö nature reserve is farthest out on Ingarö at Värmdö. The area is easily accessible and offers a true archipelago experience with beaches, protected calm bays, cliff beaches and beautiful views of Nämdöfjärden.

Björnö is perfect for a day trip from Stockholm by car or bus, and if you come by private boat there are many natural harbours to anchor in. You can explore the beautiful nature on one of the walking paths that run through the varied landscape or take a trail that runs down to the popular Torpesand beach, with cliffs and a long sandy beach. There is also a snorkelling underwater trail where you can learn about the marine life with marked signs at the bottom. At many places in the reserve there are tenting areas and natural harbours and kayak rentals.

Regarding the nature reserve

Björnö is a nature reserve managed by the Archipelago Foundation. You can read all about the rules for nature reserves at the County Administrative Board.
