There are 40,000 islands that spill from the mouth of the Aura River, but many are within easy reach. The picturesque islands of Hirvensalo, Satava, and Kakskerta, for example, are just a short bus ride from Turku. Brimming with natural beauty, these islands offer the opportunity to experience the archipelago without venturing too far from creature comforts. There are also some hidden treasures here too, like the astonishing Art Chapel and the imposing Brinkhall Manor.
