Turku Cathedral

The Aura River, lined with autumn-coloured trees, and Turku Cathedral in the distance.

Considered to be Finland’s most valuable historical monument, Turku Cathedral is Finland’s National Sanctuary. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Finland’s first bishop, St Henry, the church was consecrated in 1300. The Cathedral Museum, housed in the church’s south gallery, will take you on a journey through the building's captivating history.
