Villa Högbo
The historic Villa Högbo is no ordinary place to stay. Built in 1933, the wooden building has been a town hall, library, hospital, bank, and even a radio station. There are thousands of stories hidden in its walls, and now it has a new lease of life as a cosy bed and breakfast. Found on the island of Iniö, near the Archipelago Trail, Villa Högbo is perfect for lovers of nature, serenity, and creativity. There are a variety of rooms to choose from as well as a shared lounge room and kitchen downstairs. A bountiful breakfast is served every morning and there are also bikes, canoes, and kayaks available for rent. The owner of Villa Högbo, Harri Markkula, is also famous for his design of the ‘Hot Cube’ sauna, which looks like no other sauna you’ve ever seen. Even better? You can try it for yourself.
