Naantali Church
Naantali Church is one of the largest medieval stone churches in Finland, second only to Turku Cathedral. Built in the 1400s as part of a Bridgettine Convent, the church still dominates the city skyline. It has undergone repairs and renovations over the years; its famous baroque tower, for instance, was completed in 1797. You can explore the church in more detail on a guided tour during the summer. Be sure to also keep an ear out for the evening prayer; it’s played from the tower between June and August.
