There’s now a new way to hike in the archipelago – explore the natural beauty and unique scenery along the Stockholm Archipelago Trail.

The Stockholm Archipelago Trail lets you pick your own level of difficulty. Each trail is labeled Easy, Medium, or Challenging – and no matter your choice, you’ll be surrounded by stunning nature and unique experiences. The Stockholm Archipelago Trail also helps you locate marked paths and provides handy information on accessibility, picnic areas, accommodations, and ways to get there.

Choose Your Challenge Level

For more experienced hikers, there are trails on Nåttarö. Step off the pier and follow paths through slightly tougher areas with higher cliffs combined with sandy beaches, and a forest that seems to be in a fairy tail.

Coming Soon

More islands will soon be added to the trail, including Arholma, Lidö, Furusund, Blidö, Yxlan, Finnhamn, Ingmarsö, Brottö, Svartsö, Möja, Sandhamn, Grinda, Runmarö, Nämdö, Ornö, Fjärdlång, Utö, Ålö, Rånö, Nåttarö, and Landsort. Essentials to Bring

When hiking in the archipelago, a few essentials can make all the difference. Dress in layers to handle the changing weather. Bring a fully charged phone and a powerbank, plenty of water, and energy-boosting snacks. Blister bandages can also come in handy.

Set Your Own Adventure

A fun way to experience the Stockholm Archipelago Trail is to set a personal goal with family and friends, deciding how far you want to hike each time. Plan which islands you’ll visit, how many kilometers per day, and how many nights to stay. Then start planning and enjoy the beautiful archipelago together.
