Iniö Church

Sofia Wilhelmina Church standing tall in a green field, marked with a wooden fence.

The parish of Iniö dates back to the 1500s, but the current church was built between 1797 and 1800. It was named for the Swedish princess, Sofia Wilhelmina, who was born at the same time as the church was consecrated. The building was partially destroyed by fire in 1880, and the interior was renovated in a neo-Gothic style.
